The Apocalypse

“Do you know how many times I have heard the word “apocalypse” on the television news recently?” My wife asked this evening.

Huge cyclones, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, volcanic eruptions, and a ton of wars are the headlines seemingly everyday. Planet earth seems to be churning toward a cataclysmic end. To hear the situation at hand one simply must listen to the earth. You don’t need to be a scholar. Observation skill is enough.

Truly, the end is near. But how do we announce this to our friends, relatives, associates, and neighbors without sounding like the crazy guy on the street corner shouting, “The End Is Near!” Yes, the end is near, but I am not sure that is the best way to share the news.

An apocalypse is a lifting of the veil. Apocalyptic literature is a genre of literature that uses anthropomorphism, simile, metaphor, allegory, and sci-fi like stylings to lift the veil that hides the end of times from the casual observer.

At the end of time heaven and hell will be a most urgent matter. One of the most important things you can do for those you love is to lift the veil that hides eternal truth from their minds and hearts.

Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames is one of the most powerful “veil lifters” that God is blessing on the earth today. April 24, 25, and 26 are the scheduled dates for our 2011 Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames presentation. The sense in my soul is that this will be one of the most powerful presentations in our history, if…if God hasn’t yet initiated His end time schedule.

Pastor Mark, Pastor Fay, and I talk about these ideas in this episode of Alaska Alive. Enjoy!
