bigstock-Multicultural-Friends-616290The fourth component of the MCA Church Weekend Experience is communication. Speaking about the communication piece of the MCA Weekend Experience was fun, invigorating, and meaningful to me. The following message notes are from my presentation. My intent is to show that each weekend experience has the potential of the Holy Spirit powerfully bringing home to each one the particular “word of Life” needed at that very moment. The Spirit is able and powerful!

Ordo: The MCA Church Experience – Communication

We are studying the core components of the MCA Church Weekend Experience.

It is our intention and prayer that each weekend experience is a glorious experience with:
• Beauty and Quality (Visual art, poetry, music, tastes, color, audio)
• Persons (Of many kinds)
• People (Groups of many kinds)
• Truth
• God, through His Son, and by His Spirit

It is helpful to meet with other people, but it is essential that we meet with God.

Are each of our weekend experience components (celebration, contribution, connection, communication, and consecration) part of meeting with God or can each be a self contained “whole” of meeting with God? BOTH!

Communication is part of what we do. Communication is everything we do.

The root word of communication is the word common, from the Old French “comun” meaning “belonging to all.”

Communication, as a word, means to share, divide out; communicate, impart, inform; join, unite, participate in, literally “to make common.”

Communication has happened when everyone in the communication loop understands and the “truth” belongs to all.

Acts 5:20 states “Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.” We are designed to communicate that “all the words of this Life” belong to all of us. All the words of:

1. God’s presence with you. Hebrews 13:5 2. God’s love for you. John 3:16
3. God’s saving grace. Ephesians 2:8,9 4. God’s provision. Philippians 4:19
5. God’s healing and health. 1 Peter 2:24 6. God’s goodness. Psalm 31:19
