I have been privileged to travel to Wautoma, Wisconsin for funeral services for Pastor Fay’s mother. WOW! Wautoma loves the Reilly clan. Hundreds of people flocked to the funeral home for a Tuesday visitation. Relationships, deep and lasting, were everywhere.
“I’ve known Eleanor since she was….” “”My dad and her dad….” “She was my third cousin. I’ve met more relatives here than ever before.”
In a local store I was asked, “Are you here for the Reilly funeral?” “Yes.” I replied. “Her family, the Bladers, and her husband’s family, the Reilly’s, are the two biggest names in this whole area.” She said.
The Wednesday Funeral service drew a large attendance. Pastor Todd J. Forrest officiated, June Sheneman presented the obituary, Dave Reilly offered the Bible based salvation message, Nicole Niemann, Lydia Sheneman, Rachel Reilly, and Emily Reilly read dramatically Proverbs 31, and David Sheneman provided a fitting video tribute.
Our own, much loved and highly honored, Pastor Fay honored her mother by speaking and praying at the graveside service.
A family fellowship luncheon was provided by Eleanor’s home church with several hundred people enjoying love and relationship.
