Gunter, a long time friend to me and our family, recently passed from this life to gain his eternal reward. As a long term member of the Anchorage First Assembly of God, Gunter would quietly slip into our Sunday evening services from time to time to “Check up on me and make sure I was preaching the Gospel.”
I received the following email and want you to have access to this information.
Good Morning Dear Friends and Family,
On behalf of my Mom Arlene Hutson and my brother and sisters, I would like to first thank you all for the love, prayers and support that was given to Dad during his last days with us. He was blessed to be loved by so many – I know he cherished each of you!
I also want to express our deepest appreciation for the countless ways you have ministered the Sweet Presence of God and the hope and peace His Presence brings. Thank you for the many prayers, thoughtful words, shared memories, acts of kindness, friendship, support and love which has been lavished upon our family. We have literally experienced what is it to be buoyed by the prayers of the Saints. Thank you!
Finally, I wish to invite all that are able to join us for a final memorial service to celebrate Dad’s life and glorify our Good and Faithful God, with whom Dad now stands face-to-face.
A Memorial Service for Gunter Hutson will be held at Anchorage First Assembly of God, 1540 C Street, Anchorage, Alaska, Saturday, June 27th @ 2:00 in the afternoon. Everyone is welcome!
We so appreciate Pastor Gary Morton and First Assembly for providing us this opportunity to gather together as family, sharing in our sorrow and loss as well as celebrating the home-going of a truly righteous man.
May His Love Carry and Keep You,
Agape,
Cheryl Haley
