Holy Spirit Vision 2020

The Christian life is totally Holy Spirit dependent.

Everything God does in you and our world of today He does through the Holy Spirit.

Comments 1 Corinthians 2:6-16
Fifth, there is a maturing in the relationship between the Spirit and the spirit.           Second, the Spirit’s wisdom is secret and hidden from the natural mind.                       Third, this wisdom is revealed to us through the Holy Spirit.                     Fourth, this is not the spirit or wisdom of the world, but the Spirit from God.   His Spirit helps us understand the things freely given to us by God.             First – God’s Spirit communicates with my spirit.   23 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:2318 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness,” 20 and again, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.” 1 Corinthians 3:18-20He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 29, 3:6, 13, 22     Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away.    But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”— 10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.    12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. 13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.   14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. 16 “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

Developing my spirit’s sensitivity to the Holy Spirit is of paramount importance to the Spirit led life.

I set my mind on the things of the Spirit.

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:5

I regularly ask God to keep my spirit sensitive to His Spirit.

You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. James 4:3

I regularly pray in the Spirit.

18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. Ephesians 6:18

20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit.  Jude 1:20
