Making Sense of a Christian’s Role in the USA of Today

“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.” Proverbs 25:11

Many devout followers of Jesus are perplexed about how to respond to the seemingly sudden turning of the tide against long held Bible based morality, governance, beliefs, and practices in the United States of America. Bible based Christians, those who understand that the Bible is God’s word and our only rule of faith and practice, are shocked to see the great increase of anti-God, anti-morality, anti-Jesus, and anti-Christ laws, beliefs, and practices in this country.

Unfortunately we must honestly admit that much in our country today is anti-Christ.

Leading the anti-Christ way (in my opinion) is the Supreme Court of the United States. I agree with Judge Robert Bork’s stated position, “We are increasingly governed not by law or elected representatives but by an unelected, unrepresentative, unaccountable committee of lawyers applying no will but their own.” Sound familiar to your Bible based mind? Judges 17:6 states, “In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”

Peter, author of two New Testament books, understood this ungodly tide and saw the coming actions of God and asked, “…what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God…”

What thinking should guide our choices and what choices should we make?

Dr. Joe Fuiten, Senior Pastor of Cedar Park Church, presented a message on Sunday, October 20, 2013, in which he opens Romans 13 in light of the anti-Christ movement in the United States of today.joe

I will make a very bold statement: This may be the most important message you hear in the next several years. In my opinion, Joe’s message is a grand slam home run helping us navigate the confusing landscape for the Christian today.

My goal is to encourage and help 1,000 people to hear this POWERFUL, TIMELY, and CRUCIAL message.

In a world of cesspool thought and action, Dr. Fuiten’s message is like apples of gold in settings of silver.
