Two of our ministry partners are desirous of our added prayer. The Ganey’s are key to the Alaska District facility construction, maintenance, as well as a vital link in the District’s method of minister training and encouragement.
Following is a report from Debra from her Facebook page. Read. Pray. Bless.
Thank you so much for all your prayers, phone calls, visits, cards and
flowers. We are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends!!!
Many of you have asked for the details of Odis’ accident. We had just
built a little storage shed (10 X 12) in our backyard and were ready to roof it.
Odis was going up the ladder to roof the back side which faces the street behind us. He had to put the ladder on the outside of our privacy fence and the bottom of the ladder was sitting on an grassy incline which sloped down to a sidewalk. When he got to the top of the ladder it started sliding. He actually landed on his feet, but the result was a broken right leg.
The x-rays showed he fractured his tibia in 19 places and his fibia in 6
places. He was in surgery for two and a half hours and now has a titanium plate with lots of screws holding it all together. He is in Providence Hospital in
Anchorage, room 379. The doctor says he will have to stay in here until at least Monday.
He will not be able to put any weight on the leg for six to eight weeks,
which means a walker and crutches. Those of you who know Odis well know how difficult that is going to be! He’s already fretting about all the things he wanted to get done around our house and the two remaining teams we have coming up in August.
