Publishing salvation

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” Isaiah 52:7

Welcome to my blog’s subscriber family. To each subscriber I will email a Monday Morning Update with links to my most recent blog post and Pastoral Tuck In.

Somewhere back in time, I bumped into A. J. Liebling’s 1960 line, “Freedom of the press is only guaranteed to those who own one.” I remember thinking as I read, “Conservative Christians must publish the Gospel through every available means, including “the press.” The thought was insightful, because the onslaught against conservative Christian speech (and belief) has multiplied substantially in the past year.

Although Isaiah never experienced the electronic devices of today, he prophetically declared the beauty of bringing good news and publishing peace and salvation. Publishing was a bit of a different word usage for Isaiah than for us today, however, the primary emphasis of bringing and sharing the good news that our God reigns, is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

In a sense, we are all publishers.

The subscription service to my blog is one way I am being faithful to Isaiah’s revelation so many years ago.

Welcome to the conversation and be sure to invite a friend.

    1. Hi Byron,

Thanks for joining the blog communication effort. I trust the Lord leads us to increased effectiveness for Christ.

In the end, in my view, Christians are all in the communication business.
