One of the highlights of my year is the celebration of Holy Week. The joy of Palm Sunday, deep reflection of Good Friday, the quietness of Holy Saturday, and the sheer exuberance of Resurrection Sunday are abidingly meaningful.
The MCA Good Friday Service, from 12-1 PM, rivets our attention on Jesus’ death, the shedding of his blood, and all that he means to us today. In my opinion, every Christian should attend a Good Friday service if at all possible.
For your personal reflection upon the death of our Lord, we will be showing “The Passion of the Christ” in MCA LIVE at 1:30 PM, 4:00 PM, and 6:30 PM.
Resurrection morning’s Son Rise service will be a triumphant keeping of the actions of the first resurrection morning. Early in the morning (7:30) we will meet outdoors at the Russian Jack Chalet, now known as the Lidia Selkregg Chalet (1600 Lidia Selkregg Lane). This is one of the most exciting services of the year (and often, due to the cold, the shortest).
Following the Resurrection Son Rise service, we will celebrate our Lord’s triumph over death by enjoying breakfast together. Breakfast is served at 8:00 AM in the MCA Central Campus Relationship Center.
MCA welcomes the guitar stylings of Dennis Agajanian to the 9:15 and 11:15 services on Resurrection Sunday, March 31.
Be encouraged to bring several friends along to the services with you.
He LIVES!
