The Volunteers of America Anchorage branch hosted the Retirement and Senior Adult Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon in the MCA relationship center. Over two hundred marvelous, community committed, people loving, work accomplishing folks participated.
The 350 (approximately) retired and senior adult volunteers in the Anchorage branch volunteered a whopping 95,000 hours! One woman volunteered 2,500 hours this year. It is the character of people like this that sociologists consider part of the greatness of America.
The Volunteers of America is another national movement started in the Name of Jesus through Christian people like you and me.
