My good buddy Joe included this paragraph in his Mother’s Day sermon at Cedar Park Assembly in Bothel, Washington. It gave me a good chuckle.
My parents like to tell the story of their first three children, born one right after the other like stair-steps. They had enne, menne, and minee, and didn’t want no mo’. Well, that was their plan. But in the providence of God, and the result of inadequate planning, I was born. I suppose I could suffer from low self-esteem knowing that I am an accident. But they say it is not what happens to you that determines self-esteem but how you think about it. Instead of being an accident I prefer to think of it as being unstoppable.
