Just as God sets people into families, he sets local church congregations into relational families. One of our relational families is the Alaska District Council of the Assemblies of God. The Council is now in session and the family is together again. Unfortunately, not all of the family can attend, but there are many who have come from near and far to celebrate with each other.
The Council’s first big event was a friendship banquet. The sounds of love and joy created the ambiance of love and joy.
Jazzaniah, our Saturday Greatest Hits band, were featured guests. You would have been delighted with Heidi, Steve, Warren, and Marty (We missed you Lon).
Paula and I were privileged to sit with two of our Russian pastors and their wives, Pastor and Mrs. Morton, and Wendell Krueger, the representative of the Assemblies of God Financial Services Group.
